The 1st Roy Rasmussen Awards
FPS was pleased to announce the first Roy Rasmussen Award at the Without Boundaries Private View, in recognition of one of our founding members Roy Rasmussen, a revered sculptor and historian, whose years of dedication have inspired generations of FPS artists.
The exhibition selection panel all cast 3 votes for who they thought should be shortlisted, and bizarrely it was 3 sculptors that were chosen - Roy Rasmussen will be proud!
The eventual winner was a unanimous choice - Cricklewood's Sally Buchanan, who's tireless hours spent on her installation work 'Administrative Twist' and 'The wall between the Secretary and the Manager' was rewarded for being best in show.
Zoe Landau-Konson for her amazing crocheted sculpture and Charlie Taylor for his cast bronze and aluminium pieces were also highly recommended. All will receive a years free membership to FPS and be exempt from exhibition fees at our next exhibition in 2014.
